How to Take Screenshots (or Screencaptures) on the Palm Pre

Palm Pre has a three-button combination for taking screenshots (or, screencaptures, as they call them on the Pre): Orange Button, Sym (Symbol), and P. Hold these down for a couple seconds, and a screenshot of your screen will end up in the screencaptures category of your pictures app. The pictures app doesn’t start automatically. I think they should have taken advantage of webOS’s mult-tasking abilities and had the photos app start up in the background. I mean what percentage of people will want to go straight to the photos app anyway? Maybe 85% at the very least? Take a look of a screenshot I just took of the photo app’s gallery page…

See the screencaptures category near the bottom.

See the screencaptures category near the bottom. Also, the first picture in the roll at the top was of a clown lady we were spying on... but that's all I can tell you, or I'd have to kill every single one of you.

I agree! Of all of the apps I use, the Photo App is always the one that seems to have the longest load time. Background loading would definitely take care of the problem.
